With so much on your plate, the fire alarm system may not be your first priority. With a fire alarm safety inspection, help ensure that your fire alarm is working correctly and is inline with state and local safety codes. 

A fire alarm inspection will test your systems to make sure that the following areas are functioning correctly:

When to have your Fire Safety Systems Checked

Staying on top of your building’s safety is an important job. In order to make sure that both you and your tenants are safe in case of a dangerous fire emergency, it is crucial to stay up to date in your fire safety inspections.

Fire Extinguishers

  • All fire extinguishers need annual maintenance performed  by a certified technician but monthly inspections can be conducted in house or by a certified technician as well. 

Fire Alarms

  • Be sure to have your fire alarm tested and inspected annually. 

Kitchen Suppression (Hood) Systems 

  • Kitchen suppression systems should be conducted semi annually along with exchanging or repairing your links. 


  • Be sure to have your sprinkler system inspected annually to make sure that your systems are working properly. 

Sprinkler heads (UL) 

  • Quick response heads should be tested every 20 years. 
  • Wet sprinkler heads should be tested every 50 years. 
  • Dry sprinkler heads should be tested every 10 years. 

Sensitivity Testing for Smoke Detectors

  • Sensitivity testing should be conducted every two years for your smoke detectors. 

Backflow Systems

  • Backflow Systems should be inspected annually.
